Loyal Family

there will always be a holocaust
and the cruel cost of comfort may
leave you nothing but a walking amphetamine
drowning your pleasures in the egotistical
machinations of your divine imagination
dreadfully slow, you phoenix!
repulsed by foals and the other tyrannosaurus castrati
hate will only compel your body to swell
so the naughty distractions divide you...
subtraction is useless, really!
and you can't find your god dying to
claim the church altar for your rock and roll
oh, troubled soul
instill your faith in the afterlife, after life
moments are composed of thoughts
and thoughtless satisfaction isn't worrisome
if you are absorbed by southern poets
and maternal loyalty
and saints who remind you
that your horror scope is simply your own
for purity does exist
ecstasy is someone who will get lost with you
even if you're seeking a different heaven
and the bleeding will cease
even if you can't find bandages
in a doctor's dwellings
